No need to be jealous!  See end note about Toronto / Buffalo April meetup! Join us for #Philly by being there in Spirit!  Please do one or more of the following:

  1. Send us a Photo Toast!  Raise your favorite glass of whatever!
  2. Or make a short video (Matt!)
  3. Give us a 5 song playlist.  We’ll announce your playlist when it comes on.
  4. Submit a 140 toast (or a short series) to be read out loud
  5. Think you can top whatever Ric has to bring for Ugly Socks?  Send us a pic of those too!
  6. Be creative come up with your own idea and send it in!
  7. If at all possible please send in ADVANCE to Josepf to pre-load on the portable…

Update to #UsGuys Mid-Atlantic Meet Up Final Details

  • What: first mid-Atlantic IRL meetup of Tweeps primarily but not exclusively from the #usGuys hashtag

  • When: January 23rd, 2011 1-4 PM (map below)

  • Where: Maggiano’s Little Italy King of Prussia, PA, Nordica Room on 2nd floor

  • Who: Anyone who can make it!

  • Why: #Beyond140 Event to build “Relationships” into Social Media.

  • How: Please leave comment in Blog!  Will IRL more details.

  • Please: Register! We have space for 45 & will need to know numbers to get a larger venue if necessary.

  • Cost: $20/head deposit — all monies used directly for food/drinks. See end-note.

    • Great contests in the making!


    • Happy Feet: Wear your best. craziest, coolest socks!
    • Groove on: Bring your 5 BEST songs (USB or CD)
    • Longest Drive: How far will you go?  Free drinks for the winner from the rest of us!
    • Best Beer: Brooklyn vs. Philly (Victory)
    • Others: Plenty of time for other great ideas! (still)
    • Photos of the peeps there will be taking by @kginbabe (sister-in-law) and posted to Flickr.
    • For those who are interested/consent, short #video hellos will be taped and posted for prosperity on YouTube.

    Setting will be cocktail style.  We had to pre-order food for the group.  (We can always order more).  Sam (@qstreet) has the menu nd made the awesome selections.  Initial food & a drink will be in the $20 deposit.  it is an open bar.  The Room reservation is covered by any food/drink purchases.  We have to cover $1,000.  So if we collectively spend $910 then a $90 room charge will be owed.  Got it? If not ask Sam or Josepf how it works!

    More details for an April 8th, 9th, 10th Extravaganza as Josepf travels to Toronto and Buffalo soon to be published.  @samfiorella and @DebWeinstein coordinating Toronto and @rubymarcom all things Buffalo (her blog here).  Start sending DM’s with IRL email contacts to get synced up for activities over the weekend (lots of possible choices).
