Fresh Fish and #SEO

Fresh Fish and Top SEO Tips

Top SEO Tips for anyone who’s practicing the SEO Mindset

Glanced into the #UsGuys stream and saw these Tweets:

RT @RababKhan: @MediasRes What does “algorithm frequency” mean? As in google loves frequently updated content? #usguys

RT @danenow: Yes! Respect! I changed my attitude.   RT @MediasRes: In SEO, instead of gaming, think: “algorithm is after something real (valued)” #usguys

RT @MediasRes: @RababKhan @danenow was talking abt how his inner journalist had to bend to the fact that algorithms reward frequency. #usguys

to which I replied:

RT @Josepf: another way of thinking is FISH :-) RT @MediasRes: @RababKhan @danenow algorithms reward frequency. #usguys

I immediately think of FISH, because we all know that the best Fish is fresh.  Does anyone want to eat two week old fish?  My quick friend @danenow rejoined with:

Fishies to understand basic SEO

How to use Fishies to stay focused on SEO

Do you sing your ABCs?  Remember which months have 30 days with a sing song?  Well I just invented “fishies” for fun about SEO.

F: is for Frequency; but really think current, “fresh”, do not let your site go stale.

I: is for Interesting: good deep content that is different, unique! Copycats finish last.

S: is for Structure: organize your site, focused keywords, use friendly URLs, concise categories if a blog, do not go too deep!

H: is for Headings: Write in Newspaper Style with H1, H2, H3, great to outline your writing this way first.

I: is for Inbound Links: learn how to ask for and get good anchor text-ed inbound links!

E: is for Engagement: Social Media is peculating through the algorithms!  Build engaged relationships and keep them engaged!

S: is for Sitemap: tell the search engines where to find what to find.  Submit it to Webmaster Tools for “E”.

These fishies swim deep, ask questions!

Yes, the above is brief, intentionally so. First, told Dane I’d write it in 15 minutes and second, it is a memory device. Each section goes deeper and deeper. Want more details on any given section? Comment away or Tweet me @Josepf and I’ll be happy to answer!

TTFN!
