Start by focusing on your USP or UVP!

What are your products?

What values drive you?

Do you understand what (if anything) differentiates you from your Competition?

Can you clearly communicate this inside and outside your organization?

Is it clear, concise, and compelling?
Understand “Who” you Want to see you / find you

What specific types of customers do you want to reach?

What are their needs?

Where are they (physically)?

What are the rest of their demographics?

Are there generational or cultural differences?
Understand Where to find your target audience.

Where is not just physical locality

Where brings in a complex mesh of Socio-physical-virtual places to try and find your customers

Understanding this may mean you have to look in different places than you used to look (you aren’t still using a paper phone book as a primary lead generation are you?)
Understand how to be found on the Internet.
